Low Rise Housing Diversity Code and Development of Medium Density Housing in NSW

Since 1 July 2020, the Low Rise Housing Diversity Code specified in the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 (the Codes SEPP) has been operational across all local government areas in NSW.
It should be noted that some Councils have Local Environmental Plan (LEP) that may make changes to the SEPP.
As such, consideration should be given to the SEPP and the Council’s LEP together when undertaking development of medium density housing.For further information see link to NSW Planning Portal here.
